Anthony Edwards

Professor Emeritus

Anthony Edwards is emeritus professor of Classics and Comparative Literature in the Literature Department. He received his BA in Latin from the University of Utah and Ph.D. in Classics from Cornell University. He has authored books and articles on Homer, Hesiod, and Aristophanes. His research interests have come to focus on the rural economy of Archaic and Classical Greece and the literary representation of the ancient city’s agricultural zone.
