Profile
Seth Lerer joined the Literature Department in January 2009 as Distinguished Professor and as Dean of Arts and Humanities. His teaching and research address Medieval and Renaissance Literature, the History of the English Language, Children’s Literature, and the history of the book. Most recently, he has been working on Shakespeare and the Classics. During the Academic Years 2020-21 and 2021-22, he will serve as the Director of the Center for Hellenic Studies and the Director of the Program in Classics at UCSD.
