Julia Greig

I am a Philosophy PhD student studying questions about death and its ancient as well as modern, analytic reception. More specifically, my research examines the metaphysics of death, the logic of nonexistence, and how analytic philosophy can resolve ancient puzzles pertaining not only to these subjects, but to questions concerning subsistence and the status of nonexistent entities. I am particularly fascinated by Hellenistic and Presocratic Philosophy, especially Epicureanism, Stoicism, and Parmenidean views on being and non-being
